I have a student again — it’s nice to get back to teaching. She wants to learn Shenandoah and O Susanna, so we recorded basic melody for each in our lesson today.

Marcy,
It is so good to hear you play and what nice versions for your student to learn from.
You make every note count and you play so nice and evenly. I also wanted to let you know
that I did mention you in ED today on a thread about converting major scales to minor. I
always have liked how you explained how to play modes on the dulcimer on your website. I can remember it that way. Hope all is well with you and your family.
Thanks, Lisa!
All I was consciously worrying about was tempo and bare melody, so it’s nice to hear the bit about making every note count — that’s something I definitely aspire to.
