An Anniversary Concert
This year's anniversary concert was held October 17 at
Mom's Place Bed and Breakfast, a perfect venue for the small but intimate gathering. The show began with selections from
No Loose Threads followed with a set of originals written since moving to the area the previous year. The second half included Baroque music and two medleys of unusual traditional tunes. After a break for refreshments provided by the B&B; proprietor Anne Dimock, fellow dulcimist Marty Bryant, and myself, I had invited folks to join me for a jam session. However, because the show was on a Friday evening, most of the people who would have been interested in the jam were most likely at the weekly contra dance at Bethel Grove Community Center. Just as well -- we were all tired and ready to go home anyway.
